Frequent Questions
What is your working area?
We find that we are able to maximise the working day by keeping our working area within a 20 mile radius of Farnham.
Do you work at weekends?
We like to take time out away from working just as much as the next man, but we do realise that it is incumbent upon us to do everything within our power to keep our job completion date and price promise to the customer. We will work at weekends if that is what it takes to bring a job to completion on time. We also work at weekends if it suits a customer better to do so.
Do you use sub-contractors?
Occasionally we do. From time to time we may find ourselves pushed to keep a job on schedule. DRG Plastering has been in business for over 30 years and in that time we have become acquainted with some fine tradesmen. We only employ the use of sub-contractors when we feel it is in the customer's interest to do so. This will usually be when a 'variation of works' has been agreed between the customer and us. We most often find a 'variation of works' is effectively a request for additional work, and we frequently find that the customer would like us to complete that extra work within the original quoted timescale. This may necessitate bringing extra skilled-plasterers onto a job. Likewise, to carry out a job to our exacting standards we will often foresee a need to bring other trades on-board in order to get a job done. Where necessary, we will employ sub-contracting bricklayers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers and decorators that are well known to us. We would always advise our customers where other trades are required and we would never bring additional trades onto site without seeking our customer's full agreement first.
Would you sub-contract for us?
We may do. We are very fortunate in obtaining most of our work by word-of-mouth referrals. We tend to keep very busy on the whole but we do occasionally have quiet spells. We will always put our own customers first and would only sub-contract ourselves to others during a quiet spell. Additionally, we feel we need to know you well before we could work with you.
As a sub-contractor we share responsibility for the overall quality of work carried out on a site. We need to be certain that we are working with tradesmen who aspire to our own high standards. We have established a wonderful reputation over many years and we intend to keep it that way.
